My whole life as far back as I can remember I always wanted a Jeep. I always
thought I couldn't afford it though. Finally I decided back in 95 if I waited till I could
afford it I would never get one so I went and got her. And I call her Mud Puppy.
Unfortunately I was about 15 years to late. Open trails are hard to find around here. Also I am sad to say that although there are hundreds of Jeeps around here most of them are Mall Crawlers. I see some nice built up Jeeps and ask people where they trail ride at and they say they don't go off road cause they might scratch them.
I don't understand why they buy a slow noisy car if they are not going to use them for what they are made for. I use mine. I have got lost, got stuck, and got dented but I try to learn from each experience. I can understand now what people mean when they say "It's a Jeep thing"
Where I live I don't have many people to learn from. But I have met some great people on the Jeep List, and the Off-Road list. These are some great list to be on. They can answer most questions and give you a chuckle while they do it.
Here are some pictures from my last trip to a place called Caspirus Stone Quarry in Connlesville, PA. It is about 10 miles off of the PA turnpike exit 8. My friend Randy from West Virginia turned me on to this place. The trail is about 5 miles long and it takes about 3 to 4 hours to do it. My YJ is fairly stock and I had to winch myself in one part of the trail the first time that I went. I think if you had a 4" lift you could make it with now sweat. When I went it was pretty dry but if it is wet this trail could probably be a 6 or 7. If anybody would be interested in coming here some time drop me a line at mastersr@youron.net and we will see what we can do. So far this is the best trail that I have found.
