This story is a true account of our scouting trip for the Copper Canyon and Expedition de Mexico Adventures and developed shortly after our return from our notes, memories and photos.

We did the exploring in 1992 and Jean Akens has put it all into this spectacular account of the antics that made this a world class event. With this shortened account we are the same people just a bit older now.

This is a factual and accurate account of the expeditions, trials and mishaps that added to the adventure.

I would like to take and thank, Jean Akens for her hard work taking notes for the article "Somewhere in Mexico"and for sharing them with us. Note; Jean Akens is a splendid writer of many books and articles on the Southwest and Indian Cultures.

Not every adventure is as comical as this scouting trip, but most are. Each adventure is a true enchanting experience and each is different from the rest.
