This is just a small section of the Sidekick Panamint Mountains Off Road Map
showing a portion on the Surprise Canyon Trail to Panamint City

"4. WATERFALLS (pictured): Within one mile of passing Novak's Camp you'll reach the first of seven waterfalls. Using a winch anchored to the rocky walls, pull your vehicle over the falls. All of the falls are within the next one mile and only the third one can be driven without a winch - maybe. Surprise Canyon requires more winching than any other canyon I have ever found. If you're riding a dual sport motorcycle, bring rope and plenty of friends."

The TRAIL GUIDE that accompanies Sidekick's Panamint Mountains Off Road Map contains pictures and information about the several trails covered by the map. The map is keyed to the pictures and narratives by the small octagons with the keyed number inside them.
