Treat Mom to a Mexican 4-WHEELING mini-vacation
WHAT: Break the border town habit with fun and frolic in a quaint little tourist town 125 miles south of the border. It's an opportunity to get acquainted with Baja, the ol' Coyote, and make new friends on one luxurious trip. While enjoying the nicest hotel in San Felipe, Las Misiones (included), we experience the spectacular tides of the Sea of Cortez and learn to master the sand in 4WD!.
On day one we'll make a leisurely midday border crossing and arrive with plenty of time to settle in, have a poolside meeting and maybe work in a little sand practice. The highlight will be day two as we meander on south to Puertecitos, investigate hot springs, then turn our attention and direction north for the sandy trek to dinner (included for two) at the Laguna Percebu restaurant. We'll experience 20-foot tides on our trip back to the hotel. Day three is open. Shopping, fishing, tennis, trailing with the Coyote and too many other options to mention come to mind. Day four brings on adios as we ponder the ever-enticing option to explore the Sierra de Juarez, Laguna Hansen and the never-busy border crossing at Tecate. That's almost like two trips in one!

WHO: Anyone with a fully insured, street-legal 4WD.
FEE: $595 per 4X (one or two people). Includes hotel and Percebu dinner. $714 for late reservations. Deposit, $250
EQUIPMENT: Tire air pump. Limited to 14 4WD vehicles.
