WHAT: If you have enjoyed the Arrowhead brunch, you'll love this one. Bear with us as we tune this first trip in together! Our intent is to use mild dirt roads through the spring bloom and unique attractions in the high desert surrounding Lucerne Valley. We'll kick off with a trip back into history -- WWII practice bomb craters in Means Dry Lake. We'll then trek over to an impressive Landers earthquake fault. The 6 foot vertical by 50-foot horizontal slip is still visible after eight years. Depending on timing, we may either go by some nifty Mojave yucca clone circles or work our way through some nifty little sand dunes to Granny Mae's Desert Isle by noon. This is a special thing for both her and us, so I suspect we'll have a real unique treat in store. That afternoon, we'll pick up the loose ends and tour a little more desert.

WHO: Anyone with an insured 4WD.
FEE: $45 per vehicle (one or two people), $7 per additional passenger. $54 for late reservations. Brunch estimated at $17/adult additional.
EQUIPMENT: Trip limited to 14 4WD vehicles.
