STATE RESORT PARK
Natural Bridge State Resort Park is home to the great natural sandstone arch that stands like a sentinel over this mountain hideaway. Located in the midst of the Daniel Boone National Forest, near the Red River Gorge Geological Area, visitors will find this park a kaleidoscope of spectacular beauty with each passing season.
PARK FEATURES & RECREATIONAL FACILITIES
Hemlock Lodge
Delight in the beauty of a lodge nestled in the mountainside.
The 35 rooms have private balconies. For the perfect memento of
your visit, browse the lodge gift shop featuring a large
selection of Kentucky handicrafts and souvenirs. Rooms
available by late afternoon, check-out by noon, Eastern time.
Cottages
Step out of your cottage into the beautiful ambiance of the
surrounding forest. You will be encompassed by beauty in one of
three efficiency, two two-bedroom, or five one-bedroom cottages.
Tableware, cooking utensils, and linens are provided, with fresh
linens available daily. Cottages are available by late
afternoon, check-out by 11:00 a.m.
Camping
Enjoy the great outdoors March 1 - November 30. Two campgrounds
provide 82 sites with utilities. Twelve primitive campsites are
also available. Dump stations and two central service buildings
with rest rooms and showers are furnished for your convenience. No
advance reservations. Check-out by 2:00 p.m.
Meeting Rooms
Natural Bridge State Resort Part is the perfect setting for a
meeting. A meeting room in the lodge seats 50, and the private
dining room can accommodate 60. The Activities Center seats 195
guests.
Pool
Cool off on a hot day with a dip in the lodge pool. A bathhouse
is available. Pool closed for 97 season due to renovation.
Hiking Trails
Nine Hiking trails range from one-half mile to eight-and-one-half
miles. Hikers can admire thick forests of hemlock, popular, pine
and rhododendron in addition to spectacular rock formations on
the hiking trails. Trail maps available.
