I've watched the two day Jeep Safari Vendor Show grow from a few haphazard displays to over 60 well prepared vendors.  The quality and size of the Jeep Safari Vendor show has advanced to the point that it would be worth the trip to Moab just to go to the Vendor Show.  And with the long hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. there's no reason to miss it.   But to see both the inside and outside displays its best to take a day off from the trails and wonder through at your leisure.  Jeep and Jeep Jamboree USA were some of the major vendors that just joined the show this year.

Enjoy a photo walk through of some of the more interesting displays.

The Utah Four Wheel Drive Association prepared some very detailed and informative information on some plans for national park and wilderness expansion that threaten up to two-thirds of the current Easter jeep Safari Tails.

U4WDA also staged it's first "FIGHT BACK!" seminar at the Vendor's Show Thursday Evening.  Over 300 4-wheelers attended the well prepared presentation which included notables such as Del Albright of the Blue Ribbon Coalition.

Jeep's new booth at the Safari Vendor's Show included a cut away working model of their new Quadra Drive System.  They had the full selection of Jeep clothing and other memorabilia on sale too.  Greg Smith and Merlin Scott were there representing Jeep Jamboree USA.

Charles Wells was there to introduce his new Volume 2 Guide to Colorado Backroads and Four Wheel Drive Trails.  It appears that Volume II is bound to join the ranks of his best selling original volume.

Frenchie LaChance mans his Western Adventures booth.  Frenchie leads several trails during Jeep Safari.  Be sure to join him on one of his Jeep Safari or Western Adventure outings.  You won't be disappointed.

Treadlightly! was raffling Treadlightly! T-shirts and coffee mugs.  Sharon wanted the mugs so bad she was entering for every hours drawing.   She did eventually get the mugs - by trading or buying them from the 4-wheelers that did win them.

Advance Adapters had a booth promoting their Atlas II transfer case.  The one I have in the
4X4NOW TJ certainly preformed well for me on the toughest trails offered at Jeep Safari.  The Advance Adapter twin stick shifter added since the article was written preformed very well also.

Warn had a YJ fitted out with their new Black Diamond long travel coil spring suspension ready for enthusiasts to crawl under - and lots of them did.

Ramsey donated one of their new Platinum Pro 9000 winches to the raffle.

The Jeep Bible co-author Willie Worthy talks with Rusty at his display.  Willie personally autographed copies of his book for customers at the 4X4BOOKS booth.

And last but not least the 4X4BOOKS booth.  Here Sharon is bagging some merchandize for a customer while Moses Ludel visits with another customer in the background.

Moses Ludel signing a copy of his newly revised
Jeep Owner's Bible for another customer at the 4X4BOOKS booth.  Moses has has a full series of Owner's Bibles including editions for Ford, Chevy and Toyota.

Rick Russell signs one of his Off Highway Adventure Series Videos for a customer at the 4X4BOOKS booth.
33jsvsn.jpg (14395 bytes)
Jim Allen signs a copy of his best selling Jeep 4x4 Performance Handbook for a happy customer at the 4X4BOOKS booth.

The vendor show ends with the Arena bleachers crowded with 4-wheelers hoping to win one of the dozens of door prizes donated by the vendors including full sets of tires and top of the line winches.  4X4BOOKS donated a GlobalNav 12 from it's new line of Lowrance GPS receivers.
